Embraer has launched the Phenom 300EV, the latest evolution of its Phenom 300 series, which the company says has remained the world’s best-selling light jet for 14 consecutive years. The new aircraft introduces additional safety technology, performance improvements and cabin enhancements designed to improve the overall customer experience.
A major addition is Garmin Emergency Autoland, making the Phenom 300EV the largest business jet equipped with the system. In the unlikely event of pilot incapacitation, the technology can execute a fully automated landing. The aircraft also features class-exclusive Autobrake support for takeoffs and landings, contributing to enhanced safety and operational comfort.
The new Embraer-developed Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller (MEC) enables rudder-by-wire and other electronically controlled aircraft functions. According to Embraer, the system is designed to reduce pilot workload while also simplifying maintenance.
The Phenom 300EV incorporates the Garmin G3000 Prodigy Touch system with additional situational-awareness and navigation capabilities. These include Garmin’s 3D Taxiway Routing, Runway Occupancy Awareness, Synthetic Vision Guidance System, FANS 1/A+, RNP AR 0.3 and an inertial reference system.
These systems complement existing technologies such as the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System, Autothrottle and Emergency Descent Mode. Together, they are designed to enhance situational awareness, safety and workload management across different operating conditions.
Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, said the Phenom 300 series has established a benchmark in the light jet segment through its combination of performance, technology, comfort and support. He described the Phenom 300EV as an evolution of the platform incorporating enhanced safety technology, performance improvements and cabin refinements.
Performance updates include an extended range of up to 2,055 nautical miles and an increase in maximum zero fuel weight, providing approximately 430 pounds of additional payload capacity.
The Phenom 300EV also introduces True Blue Power lithium-ion batteries along with LED taxi and landing lights. These enhancements are designed to support improved reliability and dispatch performance.
With its combination of automated safety technology, upgraded avionics, increased payload capability and enhanced cabin features, the Phenom 300EV represents the latest development of Embraer’s established light business jet platform.
